So You’ve Published a Novel?

It’s been a few months since my first book came out and it’s been some strange times. Highs include all the positive things my readers have said about the story. Lows include realising a pretty embarrassing error made it into the book…one of the character’s name changes by a letter part way through! Looking back at earlier visions, it was an error that I made in the very first draft and somehow managed to survive 4 revisions and 3 editors to make it to the final version!
Things to do: plan for a 2nd edition with those mistakes corrected
The book has had moderate sales and I’ve just about covered the set-up and printing costs without much effort. Once the second book is made ready for sale in December, I will start promoting the series in earnest, and see if the world really likes Of Shepherds and Mages.
Waiting for the proof copy of Book 2 to come through the door is agony! Each day I get home and check the letterbox, then between the bins, in the outside cupboard, behind the garden fence, just in case the postman has put it somewhere weird. But it won’t be long now. Soon the series can progress.
If you’ve read my book, don’t forget to leave a review for me or tell a friend about it; it really helps. In return, I promise to work on the third book as much as I can 😉

(If not, you can pick up a copy here, or any online book retailer)
